SMS Usage Billing Update
Beginning September 1, 2026, Fitli will include 1,000 SMS Usage units per business account per month at no additional charge.
Most Fitli businesses are not expected to incur any additional charges. For businesses with higher SMS usage, additional SMS Usage will be billed at $0.01 per SMS Usage unit above the included monthly allowance.
Fitli will notify businesses when they reach 80% of their included monthly SMS Usage allowance, so they have visibility before any overage charges apply.
First billing date: October 1, 2026, for SMS Usage from September 1–30, 2026.

Overview
What Is Changing
Fitli includes SMS notifications as part of the platform experience so businesses can keep clients informed about bookings, reminders, waitlist updates, and other important activity.
Due to rising SMS delivery costs, we are introducing a monthly SMS Usage allowance for each business account.
Starting September 1, 2026:
- Each business account includes 1,000 SMS Usage units per month at no additional charge.
- SMS Usage above the included monthly allowance will be billed at $0.01 per SMS Usage unit.
- SMS overages will be billed monthly in arrears.
- Fitli will notify businesses when they reach 80% of their included monthly SMS Usage allowance.
- The first SMS overage invoices will be issued on or after October 1, 2026, for usage during September 2026.
For most businesses, this update will not result in any additional charge.
Background
Why We're Making This Update
SMS messaging costs have continued to increase, especially for businesses with high notification volume.
Rather than raising prices broadly for all customers, this update allows Fitli to continue including SMS notifications for typical usage while asking businesses with significantly higher usage to help cover the additional cost.
This approach keeps SMS available across the platform while keeping pricing fair for businesses that use it lightly or moderately.
Fitli is also directly notifying businesses that have historically exceeded the included SMS Usage allowance. If your business is likely to be affected, we will reach out with additional information and can work with you to review options for reducing SMS Usage.
Allowance
Included Monthly SMS Usage
Each Fitli business account includes:
1,000 SMS Usage units per month
- This allowance applies per business account, not across all businesses owned by the same user or organization.
- If you manage multiple Fitli business accounts, each business account receives its own monthly SMS Usage allowance.
- Unused SMS Usage does not roll over from month to month.

If your business exceeds the included monthly SMS Usage allowance, additional usage will be billed at $0.01 per SMS Usage unit.
Overages are billed based on actual usage above your included monthly allowance.
There is no minimum overage charge.

Measurement
How SMS Usage Is Measured
SMS Usage is based on SMS activity sent through Fitli on behalf of your business and attributed to your business account.
SMS Usage includes SMS messages generated through Fitli for business-related activity such as scheduling, reminders, waitlist activity, and other client communications.
SMS Usage is measured monthly and applied to the business account associated with the activity.
Notifications
How You'll Know If You're Approaching the Included Allowance
Fitli will notify your business when you reach 80% of your included monthly SMS Usage allowance.
For the standard included allowance of 1,000 SMS Usage units per month, this means Fitli will notify you when your business reaches approximately 800 SMS Usage units during the month.
This notification is intended to give your business visibility before any overage charges apply.
If your business reaches the included monthly allowance and continues using SMS notifications, additional SMS Usage above the allowance will be billed at $0.01 per SMS Usage unit.

Initially, SMS overage charges may appear on a separate invoice from your regular Fitli subscription invoice. Charges will be processed using the billing method already on file for your Fitli account.

Ways to Manage SMS Usage
Businesses with higher SMS volume may be able to reduce usage by reviewing SMS-related notification settings.
In particular, waitlist notifications can be a significant driver of SMS volume for some businesses. Fitli has recently released updates that give businesses more control over waitlist-related SMS notifications. Learn how to manage waitlist client notifications.
If your business has historically exceeded the included SMS Usage allowance, Fitli will notify you directly. We can also work with you to review your settings and identify options for reducing SMS Usage if you would like to do so.
